This Privacy Policy explains what information PaliaMarket ("we", "us") collects when you use our website and store (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — such as your username, email address, password (stored only in hashed form), and optional profile photo.
• Order & delivery information — items purchased, your in-game character name, and order history needed to fulfill and support your orders.
• Payment information — handled by our payment processor, Stripe, which also processes wallet and alternative payment methods offered at checkout (including PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna and Link). We receive confirmation of payment and limited details (such as the last digits or card brand) but we do not store your full card number. Stripe processes this data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
• Usage & device data — basic technical information such as approximate region (used to set your currency and language), browser type, and interactions needed to keep the Service working and secure.
• Support messages — the content of messages you send us through support chat.

2. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and deliver the items you order.
• To process payments, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.
• To operate features like rewards, referrals, and reviews.
• To send order confirmations, service notices, and — where you have opted in — occasional updates. You can opt out of non-essential email at any time.
• To provide customer support and respond to your requests.

3. Cookies & local storage

We use browser storage (cookies and localStorage) to keep you signed in, remember your currency, language, and theme preferences, and hold your basket. Essential storage is required for the Service to function. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.

4. How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the Service, including with:

• Payment processor (Stripe) to take payment, including for the wallet and alternative payment methods it offers at checkout.
• Infrastructure & email providers that host the Service and send transactional email.
• Authorities where required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

We keep account and order information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account (see below).

6. Your rights & choices

• Access, correct, or update most of your information from your account settings.
• Request a copy or deletion of your personal data, or object to certain processing, by contacting us.
• Opt out of non-essential emails using the unsubscribe option or your preferences.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. We honor those rights where they apply.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including hashing passwords and using encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to address issues promptly.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
